COBIJA (2021)
This cobija, or blanket, recreates a traditional blanket from the Tintorero region of Venezuela that I grew up around. This weaving is an exploration of how recreating textiles of cultural significance may awaken memories and a connection to ancestry. I consider this piece part of my inner-child work.
